GETTING STARTED:
First time equestrians will begin in a private lesson until they are able to steer the pony/horse independently; then they will be ready to join another equestrian in a semi-private lesson. This helps ensure the saftey of our riders and give individual attention to each rider to learn the basics without distractions. (please see services offered page for lesson prices)
WHAT YOUR EQUESTRIAN WILL LEARN:
We teach all riders horsemanship in a positive, safe enviroment. We begin with safely handling the horse on the ground & learning about equine behavior and the equipment needed for riding as well as it's purpose. They will learn how to mount, dismount and communicate with the pony/horse .Each lesson is 1hour in length & will include ground work, preparing horse for riding & putting horse away after riding along with equipment care. Riding is approximately 35-40 minutes at each lesson until the child is independentant with tacking up the pony/horse.
WHAT YOUR EQUESTIAN NEEDS:
- USTA approved helmet
- Boots of any kind with a heel
